The first generation Sienna was launched in the US in 1997 as a successor to the Toyota Previa.

The current model marks the fourth generation, which was launched in May 2020.

Until the previous generation, both gasoline and hybrid models were available. But starting with the current generation, it became a hybrid-only model coming with a 2.5-liter I4 gasoline engine combined with Toyota Hybrid System II.

The exterior is said to have been inspired by the Japanese Shinkansen bullet train, giving it a smooth and speedy shape. In particular, the elongated headlights and wide front grille create a powerful front design.

For seat arrangements, 7-seater and 8-seater are both selectable, with the 7-seater coming with an exclusive super-long sliding second-row captain’s chairs with ottomans, and the 8-seater coming with normal retractable seats.

Only available powertrain is a 2.5-liter gasoline engine mated with an electrical motor, with the net hybrid system output being 246 hp. Gas mileage for 2WD being 14.5 km/L (34 mpg) and 4WD being 13.7 km/L (32 mpg).

The newly announced Woodland Special Edition features a variety of exclusive decorations and equipment.

The exterior features a special body color, roof rails with cross bars, original 18-inch wheels, dark chrome trim, and a tow hitch (max. 3,500 lbs.).

For the interior, exclusive black sports seats with exclusive stitching, a 1500-watt power outlet, 1,200-watt JBL audio system w/12 speakers, a hands-free power back door, and seven USB ports are available.

Other driving features include an electronically controlled AWD system with increased minimum ground clearance as standard equipment, which sends up to 80% of the driving force to the rear wheels when starting the vehicle, preventing the front wheels from slipping.

Toyota explains, “By having a rugged styling that inspires a sense of adventure and electronically controlled AWD with increased ground clearance as standard equipment, the Woodland Special Edition allows drivers to tackle their outdoor adventures with confidence.”
