The Ectomobile is a car that appeared in Ghostbusters (1984), a science-fiction comedy movie about a ghost-catching movie founded by a trio of parapsychologists. The movie became popular, recorded as the second highest-grossing film of 1984.

In the movie, the fictional car is used by the Ghostbusters to carry their equipment when hurrying to the scene. Dr. Raymond Stantz, portrayed by Dan Aykroyd, built the car based on a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Futura Duplex ambulance, which he has bought the car for a bargain of $4,800.

The car is painted with an ambulance-like design featuring a white-red body and comes with a blue siren, a laser cannon, and other ‘ghost-busting’ equipment on its roof rack.

Although the replica is based on a 1959 Cadillac Superior hearse, which is slightly different from the actual model, the car still has reimagined the world of Ghostbusters with the same paint job, interiors, and equipment. The car is completely road-legal and has a mileage of 11,250 miles on the meter. Powered by a 6.3-liter V8 engine and a 3-speed automatic, and its suspension has been reinforced to handle the additional weight the equipment give.

All equipment such as audio, sirens, and lights are able to operate. And with a 440 amp dual alternator, these equipment can be used even when the car is driving at a slow speed. The laser turret mounted on the car can also be remotely controlled from two positions in the car, or by using a handheld remote. It is also equipped with five cameras that can be viewed from three monitors inside the car.

Seats and interior upholsteries also retain their original form and have been signed by eight members of the cast and crew from the movie. In addition, the car comes with all kinds of gadgets that appear in the movie, such as a proton pack and stretcher.
