Prices for the new GR Supra in the U.S. start at $49,990, and a limited edition of 1,500 units of the Launch Edition was delivered for $55,250 when sales began in Summer 2019. The winning bid at the auction will be about 40 times the price of the production model.

In January 2016, the first production car of the Acura NSX was sold for $1.2 million at the same Barrett-Jackson auction and became a hot topic. The price of this Supra is about 40 times the commercial price, which shows that it is attracting a lot of attention in North America.

Additionally, this particular model is a special one-of-a-kind model with a matte gray body color, red door mirrors, and matte black aluminum wheels. The car’s VIN ends with “20201”, which means that it is the first GR Supra to be revived as a 2020 model.

Proceeds from the auction were donated to support the American Heart Association and the Bob Woodruff Foundation, and the winning bidder will also receive a pro-spec racing suit and VIP tickets to the NASCAR Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway.
