What Kind of Specs Will The Next Nissan Z Have?

How will the inside be?

The inside? Rumor says that the engine will be the VR30DDTT 3-liter V6 twin-turbo engine with a maximum output of 405 hp. This engine is the same engine the Infiniti Q50/Q60 3.0t Red Sport 400 and the Japanese-spec Nissan Skyline 400R uses.

But judging by previous cases, the Nissan Z has been raising its horsepower while having the same engine. Maybe the new will have over 420 hp to surpass its rivals, like the Toyota Supra. Moreover, a 6-speed stick shift will also be available.

And some of you might wonder, “How can a car with such a big engine meet the CAFE regulation?”.

Well, no worries. Nissan has electric vehicles that can lower the corporate average fuel consumption. And adding “e-POWER” models to the best-selling Nissan Versa Note and the Nissan Rogue also helps this.

I think this means that there will be no problem with the new Z dragging down the average fuel economy.

How about the prices? Well, the current model starts from $30,090 (3.25 million yen) with a 3.5-liter engine (336 hp) and 6-speed stick. The Japanese-spec Skyline 400R starts from $60,300 (6.52 million yen).

If you look at the revealed prototype, you can see that the car comes with expensive looking Brembo 6-pot calipers.

Whole engine lineups remain unknown, but if there’s a non-turbo model, I assume the price will start around $37,000 (4.00 million yen). The exact same model as the prototype would possibly cost around $64,700 (7.00 million yen).
